Signum’s Crowdfunding System

Signum implements a crowdfunding system that allows every Signum user to set up crowdfunding campaigns to raise money for causes and projects.

Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising monetary contributions from a large number of people. The Signum crowdfunding feature allows you to create a decentralized crowdfund with a few clicks.  Donating to a crowdfunding campaign is just as easy.

The crowdfunding system is a useful addition to the Signum ecosystem and emphasizes the community spirit that drives all Signum users.  Many successful crowdfundings have been organized by Signum developers and users alike.

Crowdfunding also provides the producer with a number of non-financial benefits:

• Profile:  A compelling project can raise a producer’s profile and provide a boost to their reputation.
• Marketing:  Project initiators can show that there is an audience and a market for their project. If a campaign is unsuccessful, valuable feedback can be provided.
• Audience engagement:  Crowdfunding can create a forum where project initiators can engage with their audience.  The audience can engage in the production process by following progress and sharing feedback.
